A profitable and rapidly scaling fintech company is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our core team in Stockholm. Having recently secured key regulatory and banking credentials, we are entering a heavy growth phase that introduces sophisticated technical and architectural challenges.

In this role, you won’t get lost in a massive corporate hierarchy—you will have a direct hand in shaping our infrastructure, backend systems, and technical direction.

What You’ll Do

• Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture: Design, deploy, and manage scalable, reliable cloud infrastructure to support high-throughput financial applications.

• Backend Development: Build and optimize high-stakes backend services with a cloud-first mindset, primarily using Node.js and SQL databases.

• System Reliability: Contribute to core system design, ensuring excellent maintainability, monitoring, and fault tolerance across our services.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product and business stakeholders to turn strategic vision into robust technical solutions.

• Knowledge Sharing: Act as a cloud champion within the engineering organization, promoting modern DevOps practices and architectural standards.

Tech Stack

Our ecosystem is built around TypeScript, Node.js, and SQL (PostgreSQL), fully hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). GCP is highly preferred, but strong experience with AWS or Azure is also welcome.

Who You Are

• Experienced: You have at least 5 years of professional backend and cloud engineering experience, ideally from high-stakes, data-sensitive environments like fintech or ecommerce.

• Cloud-First Thinker: You have a strong track record of deploying and monitoring large-scale solutions on major cloud providers (GCP, AWS, or Azure).

• Proactive Problem Solver: You naturally take extreme ownership, enjoy diving into complex, ambiguous problems, and prefer building new systems over just maintaining old ones.

• Collaborative: You enjoy the energy of working closely with an ambitious team in a shared office space.

Bonus Points if You Have Experience With:

• Frontend frameworks (React, React Native) or alternative backend languages (Python, Go).

• Modern API structures (GraphQL).

• Containerization and modern CI/CD tooling (Kubernetes, GitHub Actions).
