We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Linux Team Lead for a consulting assignment with one of our clients in the Stockholm area.
You will join an established Embedded Systems organization consisting of engineers across areas such as operating systems, software testing and DevOps. The Linux platform team is responsible for delivering software platforms and core operating system functionality used across multiple products and development projects.
The assignment combines hands-on embedded Linux development with technical leadership and team coordination. You will lead and coordinate a Linux development team responsible for both new product development and ongoing maintenance of released products.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate a team of Linux software developers.
Plan, coordinate and drive software deliveries and technical activities.
Facilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning and other development activities.
Monitor progress, identify risks and communicate status to relevant stakeholders.
Work closely with Program Management and other project stakeholders.
Coordinate development activities across multiple disciplines, including middleware, user interface, electronics and verification & validation.
Contribute as a senior software developer while taking responsibility for team coordination and technical delivery.
Support continuous improvement of development processes, tools and engineering practices.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience in Embedded Linux development.
Strong programming skills in C.
Solid experience with Linux kernel development.
Experience developing device drivers.
Deep understanding of Linux-based embedded systems.
Experience with Git-based development workflows.
Hands-on experience with Yocto-based build environments.
Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
Proven ability to lead technical teams and coordinate complex software deliveries.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Practical experience using AI-assisted software development tools as part of daily engineering work.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with ARM-based embedded platforms.
Experience with BSP (Board Support Package) development.
Experience from camera, sensor or imaging-related products.
Experience with GitHub Copilot, AI-assisted code generation, automated testing or agentic development workflows.
Experience with Zephyr RTOS.
