Short Description of Assignment

The Software Engineer will be responsible for building and continuously improving cutting-edge e-commerce solutions, covering the entire customer journey — from sales triggers such as machine events and product recommendations to checkout, order processing, and order tracking.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a start-up-minded initiative within a large and successful organization and contribute to the ongoing digital transformation in the mining and construction industry.

The ideal candidate is a highly skilled Software Engineer with extensive experience in .NET development, particularly within web development and AI. The candidate should also have substantial hands-on experience working with Azure services.

Experience with Agentic AI platforms such as Azure AI Foundry, OpenCode, OpenClaw, or similar solutions is highly valued, particularly platforms where AI agents can retain memory, develop or use skills, and support users autonomously.

As a member of an agile full-stack development team, the Software Engineer will be responsible for understanding business and technical requirements, developing end-to-end functionality within an Azure environment, leveraging a broad range of Azure services, and implementing Agentic AI solutions that support users and enhance the overall e-commerce experience.

Requirements

Please note: Experience with Azure DevOps should not be considered equivalent to hands-on experience with Azure services and Azure application environments.

Non-negotiable requirements:
Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience working with Azure App Services, including deployment, configuration, and management. The candidate should be capable of independently setting up, deploying, configuring, and managing web solutions in Azure.
Minimum 8 years of professional .NET development experience, with strong proficiency in web development.
Basic knowledge of frontend frameworks and technologies such as Bootstrap UI and Vue.js.
Familiarity with CMS and e-commerce capabilities and/or relevant industry-specific business environments.
Hands-on experience with at least five of the following technologies and Azure services:
Azure AI Foundry
Azure Serverless SQL
Azure Cosmos DB
Azure Storage
Azure Service Bus
Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID
Azure Front Door
Azure API Management
Azure Traffic Manager
Azure Functions
Azure Cognitive Services
ChatGPT and/or Claude APIs
Proven ability to develop and deliver end-to-end solutions within an Agile development environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a development team.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

The following experience and knowledge are considered advantageous:

Previous experience developing e-commerce platforms or working on similar digital commerce projects.
Familiarity with headless architecture and composable services.
Experience with Azure DevOps or comparable CI/CD tools.
Knowledge of Elasticsearch or similar search technologies.
Relevant business or domain knowledge related to machine service and operations, and B2B/B2C sales and support.
