PMO for complex IT-heavy project in Finland
Project Manager for a customer data excellence project in Sweden
The project in Finland works on the implementation of an IT solution for our finish B2C business on the customer interfaces. It includes the update and improvement of the related processes. The project consists of several workstreams in an international setting. The PMO will work closely together with the project manager and contributes to the success of the project.
The customer data excellence project aims to organize and manage our shared data warehouse with a governance setup providing the opportunity to leverage our big number of customer data. The PMO/project manager will be connected to an international team of project managers and way of working coaches
The PMO role:
Governance and practices
Establish governance framework and tools in co-operation with the project manager: propose practices and tools
Set up the governance framework in co-operation with project manager: set up the tools, templates, meetings structures, channels, control process etc.
Ensure that the project aligns with organizational policies and standards
Define the methods & best practices and ensures that each project team/workstream follows them: define the practices, inform & teach team about them, follow up that practices are followed, advices PMs.
Monitoring and Reporting
Tracking Progress: monitor the progress of the project, ensure that it stays on track with respect to timelines, budget, and scope.
Reporting: generate regular reports on project performance and communicate these to stakeholders
Quality Assurance
Follow up on deliveries and schedule
Ensure that quality assurance process is followed
Facilitate Lessons Learned and support project teams in implementing actions
Stakeholder Management
Help in facilitating communication between stakeholders - prepare communication, book meetings, status reporting
Help in preparing communication materials
Participate in steering committee meetings as secretary
Act as Program Managers "second ears"
The Project Manager role:
Planning and sharpening project scope, objectives, and deliverables
Creating a project schedule and timeline
Setting up the project organisation and governance
Assigning tasks and responsibilities to team members
Monitoring progress and ensuring tasks are completed on time
Communicating with stakeholders and team members.
Ensuring project quality and meeting project goals
Ensure compliance to Vattenfall project governance model
Preparing decision to be taken in the project steering group
Conducting a review/lessons learned at the end of the project
Define and document the relevant business processes
Identify information owner for each business process that will be responsible for the handling of data in each process
Create a rulebook to information consumers for handling of data and implement
Design data governance model and implement
Describe the role of the system owner
Identify and gather stakeholders
Set decision process for development
Set security and privacy demands
Skills: Required experience and expertise
minimum 5-7 years of experience in project management or a related role
proven track record of successfully managing complex projects with a relevant IT-component
experience in cross-functional teams and driving organizational change
experience in working internationally
stakeholder management
fluent in English, written and verbal
Meritorious
process management knowledge
data management knowledge
experience in Sales environment and/or in the energy sector would be a plus
good knowledge about project management practices and experience in various projects
Other skills and qualities
