We are looking for a Cloud Migration Specialist to help our banking client with their Digital Workplace initiative.

About the assignment:

As a Cloud Migration Specialist, you will be part of a prioritized cloud transformation initiative within client’s Employee Experience Domain. As a member of a Product Team, you will help deliver a set of Microsoft 365 digital collaboration tools used by over 15,000 colleagues in a global organization.

Client is currently at an early stage in its cloud journey, which makes this role both important and impactful.
Client are looking for someone with proven experience in similar transitions – someone who can contribute hands-on while also challenging existing ways of working, asking the right questions, and guiding them based on best practices.

Your main focus will be to accelerate the migration from traditional network home directories to OneDrive for Business as the modern standard for personal storage. You will act as a key technical resource, ensuring the migration runs smoothly and remains closely aligned with project goals and timelines. Working collaboratively with other Product team engineers, you will contribute to planning, execution, and minimizing user impact throughout the transformation.

To succeed in this role, you bring a high level of technical confidence and previous experience from large-scale migrations in enterprise environments. A background in Digital Workplace – where you've worked with endpoint management, hardware policies, and user environments – is considered highly valuable.

Requirements:

• Expertise in Intune and Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for device and user management
• Strong knowledge of networking, including bandwidth and file access performance
• Deep understanding of NTFS permissions and their application in OneDrive and SharePoint Online
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Migration Manager and similar migration tools
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and troubleshooting
  

Meritorious qualifications:

• Experience in Digital Workplace, with responsibility for hardware, device management, and policies. Client are looking for an individual who can challenge current plans and approaches, particularly in areas where the team lacks the necessary expertise.
  

Preferred soft skills to be successful in the role:

You have extensive experience with OneDrive for Business and have led large-scale migrations from on-premises network drives in global environments. You understand common migration challenges and best practices and know how to minimize downtime and user disruption.
